Sorry for the lack of blog posts the past week after talking about new posts coming frequently. I spent some time in Waco, Texas visiting friends from college and moving in my brother at Baylor University. This resulted in little computer time which was probably pretty good for me, but bad for blog content. Also, I ran out of razors right before I left on my trip and I have yet to get new ones. So as I’m typing this out, my beard is still growing. This is my post to let you know I’m back and to let you know that I like to imagine I look as awesome as Gregory Peck when I let my facial hair go.

If I were walking to class and found Mario hanging out on the wall in pixel form I would probably take it as a sign. A sign to turn around. Go back to my apartment. Listen to this Dubstep remix of the Super Mario theme. Bust out my Gameboy. And squash goombas all day long.

Movie Posters

Well, suffice it to say.. I have failed epically on posting two videos a day for you all. So, I owe you guys at least an explanation as to what I have been doing before I get back to doing that again this next week because judging by the traffic bump on the site, you all enjoyed it.

Besides doing lots of work for iThemes this summer (Yeah, every word to this point is a link to something I’ve made, so pick a word and check it out), I’ve been gorging on movies and music. Also, I’ve found some time to do some reading and audiobook listening which is always a bonus.

To help break it down more for you and to make sure you’re spared the boring details here’s a simple list of things that apply to my life currently based off some inspiration from a blog post by my friend, Nathan Reynolds.

The Sand Whale

This was a protest of some Japanese legislation and rulings that endangered whales. I’m not one to quickly jump on any type of animal rights groups bandwagons but I will if they all do awesome stuff like this (well except for PETA – they’re just ridiculous). Tilt Shift + Stop Motion + Giant whale sculpted from sand + traditionally dress Japanese peeps = Solid Entertainment. Video by Keith Loutit music by Headstrong.

So as a kid, Dragonball Z was one of those things I got to indulge in after coming home from school. My brother and I were constantly battling each other in the backyard – dueling with our imagined “Super Saiyan” abilities. So naturally, whence studying you find ways to do everything but what you should be doing and I wanted to make a couple childhood dreams of mine come true. Yes, I am that cool.
