@tedvid: I don't recall opening Photo Booth, which is probably why i jumped when I looked up at my screen from my phone to see me staring back at me.

Papyrus

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

So I’ve been doing a little work lately: taking the time to come up with a script, developing shot sequencing, and etc.

Shocked? Me too.

Anyway, all of this is going to be coming out in the form of the digital short, Papyrus, shortly. (how’s that for odd sentence structure?)

It’s a little poking of fun at many things: the typeface Papyrus (which is truly horrid), the documentary Helvetica (well done, but an hour and 20 minutes worth?) and the general obsessions people have over the oddest of things.

Youtube Videos – Weekly

Sunday, December 27th, 2009

This should be a weekly thing. I typically watch more Youtube videos than just about anyone I know so it might be good if I put up 3-5 once a week for you to enjoy at your own pace. Watch them all at once or space them out to enjoy. Regardless here are a few to get you started.

Tedvid Tweet

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

So after drinking too much coffee, and after days of wanting to do something like this, I created a place outside of twitter to view my latest tweets without the clutter. I have no idea why anyone would ever look at my tweets at this location; however, I might just do it from time to time myself.

Check it out: tedvid.com/tweet

I’m also proud of this little guy, which I created using tedvid’s primary typeface.

I Like to Rack Focus

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

This past Sunday, my brother and I had lunch with the family and then hopped in the car and drove around Piedmont finding “stuff” to shoot. Typically in Piedmont, Oklahoma when you go to shoot something, you are understood to be going hunting. However, this was not the case. Instead, I spent my time messing with the rack focus on my camcorder and shooting video of mostly inanimate objects. It was a blast. We listened to Ray Lamontagne almost the entire time and so naturally I used his song, “Shucking the Corn,” as the background music for the footage. It fits, I do believe, because it was his music that was going through my head while capturing these images. The footage is rough/raw just like Mr. Lamontagne, and hopefully you enjoy it. You can watch it, here.

The following are some stills from the video itself:
